Meet the Team
Kari N Novak, LMSW
As a Licensed Master Clinical Social Worker, I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families navigating life's challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, processing trauma, working through relationship concerns, adjusting to life transitions, managing anger, or coping with grief and loss, therapy can offer a supportive place to slow down, gain insight, and build meaningful change. Together, we'll explore patterns, strengthen coping skills, and work toward goals that feel authentic and achievable for you.
My approach is strengths-based and empowering, helping clients recognize their resilience while developing practical tools for everyday life. I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Habit Reversal Therapy (HRT) and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). By tailoring therapy to your needs, we can find strategies that truly support your growth and well-being.
I welcome clients from all walks of life and believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, respected, and supported. If you're considering therapy—or simply curious about how it might help—I invite you to reach out. Taking that first step can open the door to healing, clarity, and a more balanced life.

Life can be hard at times, and often very unpredictable. We may find ourselves not equipped with the tools we need to process all of life's challenges, or we may just need safe space to talk through the issues that arise. I believe in creating a collaborative space where my clients feel safe, secure and not judged to explore areas and skills to help you live your best life.
As a clinical social worker, I work with adolescents, adults, families and couples. My experience and training have been helping clients to deal with trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, caregiver fatigue, self-esteem and depression issues. I also provide Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for TICs (CBIT) therapy. I take a holistic approach looking at each individual and the many systems that make us who we are. I incorporate several techniques through CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, Family Systems, Solution Focused and Strength Based therapies to look at each individual as a whole.
Therapy is a gift we give ourselves, and I want to applaud you for taking time for you and your needs. Together, we can work on any past or current issues that are holding you back in your own life. I would be honored to take this step of your journey with you.
